दानापुर मंडल में खगौल स्थित रेलवे स्कूल की स्थापना नवम्बर 1889 को हुई थी। प्रारम्भ में यह विद्यालय कलकत्ता विश्वविद्यालय से संबद्ध था। समय के साथ यह ई.आई.आर. के अधीन समिति, पटना से संबद्ध हुआ। विद्यालय के सौ वर्ष पूरे होने पर इसे पटना विश्वविद्यालय तथा बिहार विद्यालय परीक्षा बोर्ड ने इंटरमीडिएट स्तर तक अपग्रेड कराने का आदेश पारित किया, और बाद में वरीय मंडल कार्मिक अधिकारी, दानापुर ने इसे सीबीएसई से संबद्धता दिलाने में अपनी महती भूमिका निभाई।
The railway school at Khagaul in Danapur Division traces its founding to November 1889, when it was first affiliated with the University of Calcutta. Over time, oversight passed to the E.I.R. committee at Patna. On completing a hundred years of service, Patna University and the Bihar School Examination Board sanctioned its upgrade to the intermediate level — and the Senior Divisional Personnel Officer, Danapur, later played a key role in securing its CBSE affiliation.
Established under the Danapur Division, first affiliated with the University of Calcutta.
